For such a detailed and insightful review. The time, care and thought you put into it is obvious. I am grateful for the gift.
I appreciated your chapter by chapter breakdown and the specificity of what you discussed. it was clear what you were referring to, and why. My work will improve because of it.
In answer to your question, I am not implying that the earthquake was related to fracking in this specific case, because they are not fracking (the people are trying to stop it) however, your mention of that made me realize that someone at the meeting needs to bring up the fact that fracking causes earthquakes, given that they've just had one that day.
Unfortunately, it is a fact that in the State of New York, the DEC is also assigned to supervises searches for people lost on public lands. I know this is bizarre - I'm stuck with it, so it suggested that people might suspect the DEC is not searching very hard for someone who criticized the director. Your review made me realize I ought to make more of that, in terms of the MC - that she made the news, etc
In terms of the story. the MC is going to try to stop fracking, (and a whole ot else) by changing the course of history to result in a different future, since she finds herself in such an unusual situation. Of course she doesn't know how it will work. None of us know that when we attempt to do anything.
Note to other YWO folks - one the kindest things I could wish you is that rtelford reviews your work. I hope you get lucky as I did.
