I saw this in the paper earlier this week and it did make me smile.

These things do happen. Some years ago Penguin published a friend's novel and missed out the entire of chapter three. When challenged over it they said they didn't think it would make much difference!! Needless to say my friend was somewhat put out. They did re-print it in the end but it was quite a struggle to get them to.

Kia Ora, Papa Stas,

I've never sent you a message before, but just wanted to say I thought your story "The Curse of the Freckles" was very clever. I didn't do a freewill just in case I get it as an assignment. I didn't want to lose you a credit.

Haera Ra,

Marita.

Kia Ora, Marita,

Thanks –

glad ya liked it.

Smart –

that you’re waiting for an assignment read.

Highly unlikely –

you’ll get it as an assignment though.

Hopefully –

I’ll be wrong.

Yo –

Ya know -

Tis better to be up the nose –

Then caught within some pantyhose.

Or even worse some smelly toes.

Methinks it best I return to prose.

Kia Ora, isn't that a drink from the 80's? 'I'll be your dog' I believe the advert goes.
