Any chance of Year Zero Unplugged getting some weekend dates for the London gigs so us yokels can fire up Puffing Billy and get up to the Big City for a look-see?

I don't know Ant, I don't really handle the bookings. But I take your point.

Yup, we need some weekend gigs. Problem is most venues don't do weekends, but if we can *ahem* point them to the prospect of more sales that'd be a sweetener
Songs from the Other Side of the Wall is just £0.70 on Kindle

Seems a bit weird that venues that are open on a Saturday anyway seem opposed to holding gigs then?

From my days in retail, Saturday is the busiest day and the least capable of staging an eventon top of what would already be your highest takings day of the week. You want events to bring in people that would otherwise not be coming in, when the traffic is slow

I think we're using the same logic from different angles. My thought was that as Saturday is the busiest day and most places close at 6, you would have enough time to to set up the gig (albeit slightly later), maximum opportunity to get both shoppers and revellers in attendance and have the most staff available to work.

Fair point, but then staff want to get home & have a saturday night out themselves
