Hi

So far, my membership of YWO has exposed me to various stories from people of diverse backgrounds. I've seen styles and plots at the best. So good for me.

How has your YWO membership blessed your writing?

The main thing is the reviews. They can be frustrating and depressing, but enough of the people here know what they're doing to help you make a lot of progress if you just stick at it.

Am I right in thinking you're from Nigeria? One of my girls' biological fathers was a Yoruba.

Hi,

So I want to believe you've gone through the review process on YWO. Great!

Yeah, you are right to think I'm from Nigeria. I'm a Yoruba too, what's your girl's name? And how is she?

Olakumbi. She's fine; she's in London studying to be a psychiatric nurse.

OK. So what are you working on? My book project is centred on Nigeria/Nigerians roles in Sierra Leone before, during and after the country's civil war

Is Mr. Ten Million in it? That war was awful; my in-laws were in it, the girls were in it briefly after the AFRC coup, and we're still living with the after-effects.

I'm writing fantasy, but there are probably African influences in there somewhere.

But it's a fiction and my maiden book attempt.
