For those who are familiar with US news, you will know that anyone who isn't an ultra-conservative christian is a terrorist out to destroy America with radical ideas like affordable healthcare, gun control and sensible debate. Finally, Glenn Beck has revealed the mastermind behind these attacks. Take a look...

And for those who watched it, no. Glenn Beck is not a loveable fictitious character based on Alan Partridge, but a genuine Fox News anchor. This South Park episode spoofs him best, but the only real change they've made is to use the name "Wendy" instead of "Obama".

There are campaigns a plenty against the guy and his franchise.

I can't get too involved, because my brain keeps offering me Jeff Beck as a hate figure instead.

With good reason. He was bad enough when he appeared on MSNBC a few years ago, but it just got worse and worse when he moved to Fox.

If you need a reason to dislike Jeff Beck, well Rolling Stones magazine reckons he's a better guitarist than Mark Knopfler!

No, that would raise him in my estimations

Give me Jimmy Page anyday, or Eddie Van Halen. As to who is destroying America, what about America destroying us?

Isn't the notion of a guitar hero a bit outdated these days?

A kid can just plug in his "Guitar Hero" console game and Bob's Your Uncle...

I like art noise me. Different sounds

Jeff Beck is an awesome guitarist. One of the best in terms of technique and feel for the instrument.

Unfortunately, his material leaves a lot to be desired, check 'Hi Ho Silver Lining', probably his best known track and outstanding legacy.

But I am outdated, Marc. I was a heavy rock man (and still am, along with a host of other musical genres) and remember seeing Zep live at Wembley Pool. They were bloody fantastic. Also, when I first heard Van Halen I couldn't believe one guy could make a guitar perform such tricks; ground breaking stuff. Jeff Beck and Page cut their teeth together before hitting the big time. But I'd still go for page because I'm a blues man at heart, and I jam weekly with fellow blues friends.

PS to above. And let's face it, as writers we all know about the blues.
