I can tell you that mine came today... and all that networking and that plugging and promoting, which has included several newspaper articles has resulted in.... Not many sales. Or not as many as expected, wanted, needed... Amazon and other online sites sales can be misleading and there is nothing like book signings and getting the book in peoples hands. Well got to keep plugging away. Im' on Berkshire Radio on Friday, 3.10pm. The Sarah Walker show. 104.1 FM. plugging my novel and the Twitter novel i'm doing with a pal. Steev

Haven't received anything in my neck of the woods yet either -- but be patient, there are a lot of people to notify. I suppose whether or not you are pleased with your cheque depends on your expectations. Let's hope those below 25 pounds are non existent! In the meantime I'm getting on with the next book, when not taking the dog for a walk. Carole (Cazutt)

Selling POD strikes me as "the long game"... But then to me I am less concerned with profit and more intrigued by the idea of getting my stuff out there. Already my book has been read and reviewed by many people all of whom gave positive feedback.
Furthest recorded sale is Africa (yes really), while predictably the most sales have occurred in the UK.
I plan to go on selling this book until my end of days!

To top it all my book (for the first time) is out of stock on Amazon, so my recent promo actions online and in press/radio will largely be for nought. Steev

I got my email today and I agree that the numbers aren't really what was expected to be honest - I haven't been on a massive marketing spree as yet, but with the people I've told, posters I put up in my workplace and newspaper article, I was expecting more, but I guess that is the gamble you take. Also, just for those that have got their email, do I understand it right in that most sales within the last 90 days will pretty much not count towards the royalty payments because the sellers of the books might not have sent the payment for the book along to the publisher?

I've just received the royalties e-mail and sent a query back about the numbers involved. According to the attached document only 12 copies of Tasting the Wind have been sold. Now as I have bought more than that as gifts and review copies (from Amazon and Book Depository) and have had people contacting me to say they've bought it, or approaching me to sign it, I can only suggest that the 90 days is as much to do with when sales information is passed on as payments. Tasting the Wind didn't come out until after Christmas and I didn't start marketing until the wrong cover had disappeared from Amazon, so I'm imagining that the next royalties notice will include the real figure from the last three months... hopefully

Well here's hoping that's the case. if that is true about the last 90 days then in truth i don't have much to moan about. (If true) Steev
