...a three hundred year old conspiracy...

Maybe it's about the publishing industry.

I just read 'Dead Mens Dust' the new Jack Reacher style thriller from Matt Hilton. Much touted and winner of a £800,000 advance for 5 novels.

Utter utter drivel of the worst kind.
The frog and the scorpion is NOW available to buy at www.amazon.co.uk,WH Smiths and Waterstones or visit my website and blog www.steevanglover.com

I once tried to read a book called 'Miso Soup' by a Japanese author...I couldn't finish it...it was just too gruesomely detailed and it made me feel sick!

For that and that alone, you have my perpetual esteem.

And people say all book burning is bad...

Ben Elton is currently in deep trouble with the Freemantle council for smothering his heritage house in solar panels. He and his Aussie wife now owe fines of fifty thousand dollars.

Oh no, that means he'll need to knock out another book...

I'd like to smother him in solar panels...

I'm sure he can stick up for himself but I really like Ben Elton. I am well aware, after a previous discussion in a different thread, that I am very much in the minority. I reckon he's hot. Solar panels on Ben Elton would do it for me.

Most vile

I couldn't finish Brett Easton Ellis' 'Less than Zero' (which, ironically, is the score I gave it out of ten, for entertainment). It was relentlessly vile but eventually got so bad I binned it in utter disgust. I don't think of myself as a prude, but that was beyond my personal limit.
