Anyone interested in being a part of this feature, all you have to do is go to the contact page on my website: http://www.allanmayer.com/contact.html and submit the form. I can'y put my e-mail address on here because I am told that Spam robots will track it down and use it, but once you've contacted me we can communicate via e-mail. I will then send you a request for a pic, book cover, short bio and book description, and ten questions. You can alter the questions and add if you wish (but I reserve the right to edit.) There are two interviews on my site at present, and since mentioning it here the requests have started to roll in, so you may not appear immediately. Look forward to hearing from you, Allan

Quote: Allan Mayer, Sunday, 3 May 2009 18:37I've just started a new feature on my website- author interviews. So far I am featuring Huw Langridge, author of 'Schaefer's Integrity' and Catherine Kirby (See Through). It costs nothing, and helps to increase your exposure on the web. If you would like to be included please contact me via my web site, www.allanmayer.com, and while you're there take a look at the interviews. Hi Allan, I think you got my "I'd love to be the subject of an interview" request?

I'm on my way to your website now! I'd love to do an interview for you. It can only help sales of my novel, Family Matters. This is a great idea and, if I had a website, I'd do the same. Christine

Hi Allan,
I think you got my "I'd love to be the subject of an interview" request?
Hi Tommi- your request must have gone astray in cyberspace or in my inbox, so I've sent you the details now. I've had another query today from someone chasing up an interview request which I responded to but the response never arrived, so if there is anyone else who hasn't heard from me, please let me know. Chances are there are things buried in my inbox, which has been going mad this week with interview requests and really kind e-mails from people as they finish reading 'Tasting the Wind.' Thanks Christine. I was lucky, in that although I count myself as fairly internet savvy I had a mental block when it came to designing a website, and just happened to mention to someone I knew through work that I'd written a book. It turned out that he'd been in marketing and loved doing web design. As not everyone is in this position it's great to be able to share pages with other authors to give them a little bit more web presence. And it's not entirely altruistic- the more content on my site the more traffic will be driven to it (so I am told) so it's a win-win situation. I've taken over the site design now, but the interview idea was his and, it would seem, a very good one. I'm hoping to get at least one more up over the weekend, but they will all appear over time- I'm just having to design a menu page first, because they won't all fit on the bar. Thanks again for your interest and positive comments,
Allan

No problem Leela- have you still got the questions and guidelines? I'm also asking now for people to tell me the genre of their novel (presuming it is a novel) so I can include this in my new menu. I've put another interview on this weekend- with Eileen Frost, author of Woodsmoke. Website: www.allanmayer.com

Allan has done a superb job on his website for my book, Woodsmoke. And at no cost to me. Allan and I have been chasing each other for the first and second place on the Book Depository chart all this week and it's been great fun. He is leading at the moment. I have read the first three chapters of his book, Testing the Wind, and will be buying a copy. Not because of what he's done for me, but it looks like a really good read.
Thanks, Allan and all the best with your book sales.
Eileen
