Having endured four time outs in succession, I ask whoever you are to either reject or review.
If you don't like it, it’s not your genre; you prefer something else I understand. All I ask is please do not hang on to it and let it time out.
Thank you

I've read Ron's sample and it's really rather good. Don't jump to any predispositions through genre tags. Ron - four time outs = 4 different slackers no ?

I hear your pain and I can say with all honesty, I don't have your story. In fact, I'm not going to request anymore pieces until I get rid of the 13 credits I have. It is terribly unfair for other writer's who are also waiting for reviews to sit on reviews for other writers. Surely they know what it's like to wait...and wait...and wait...

Like you and possibly many others I have the credits waiting.
Seems a bit pointless reviewing and waiting.
Still - that's life.

I have been a member of YWO since it began and this topic has always been an issue. In the early days, reviewers were given seven days so you can imagine the frustration of waiting a whole week and then - nothing. People make excuses for their tardiness, like they were too busy/had a cold/the cat died etc., but really, if you are that busy, then you shouldn't ask for other writer's chapters to read.
The issue has been raised many times and I believe Ted reduced the waiting time to four days. At the moment I am not doing any reviewing but when I did, if I read the piece and didn't like it enough to give an unbiased review, then I rejected it so that someone else could get it.
No idea what the answer is. It's a busy site and difficult to monitor I should think, but you have my sympathy because I've been there many times.

Eileen I agree with your premise - when ready to review take one at a time. Review or reject and move on. RS

It's been said before, but why not go browse by genre akin to yours and start Free Wills - especially if you notice a name that's also been complaining about lack of reviews. Okay it doesn't count towards the chart, but it's about your book ... Wrigley posted up a new story over the W/E, asked for readers and promised return free wills. He got 2 straight off the bat including me. And he was good to his word and returned the favour.

Hi Good idea I might do that sooner rather than later.
At least that way you get feedback.
Thanks
