Title : The Museum of Moving Images

Author : Domenicus

Genre : Mystery

Review Extract from Review By: Gordon Knight

"MUSEUM OF MOVING IMAGES

Definitely a start that makes you want to read on. The unfolding of the story is well judged and only occasionally falters where back story is being told (maybe more of this could be told in dialogue).

In terms of structure and pace, there is evidence of careful pruning, because there aren't too many wasted words.

While the language is mercifully free of self-indulgence, I think there are a few areas that need attention. You do have a tendency to cliche in places. Examples are: 'within spitting distance of the seafront'; 'Bernie’s heart was in his mouth'; 'if you want to make omelettes you’ve got to crack eggs' - it would be worth trying to find more original expressions ...

Most importantly, though, it's a good read and really entices the reader to want to know the rest as the mystery unfolds.

Good luck with the novel!"

Synopsis
Can Bernie Jephson save the 'lost souls' that are trapped on the old, decaying film stocks in the museum? And what is Mr. Majendie's connection with the spate of disappearances in Brighton in 1964?
