I am ridiculously chuffed to report that a junior schoool in Germany is using my book of short stories, "The Mice of St Goran," for teaching English. Plus this morning I had an email out of the blue from a 12 year old in Australia asking when the next book in the series is coming out. It's very satisfying to know that strangers in distant countries have discovered and are enjoying your work - so renewed thanks to Ted and You Write On for making it happen.

That's great, Rosalind. Jamie loved his mousy book and Emma's birthday is next month, so she'll be getting hers then. It's so nice when things happen with our books that are out of the ordinary. A lecturer I know has used "Three Steps To Heaven" in his Social History lessons as an example of life in the '60's. I felt very proud when he told me that his pupils really enjoyed it. And it really is all down to Ted for making self-publishing affordable and possible.

That's great news and even better because it was unexpected, I should think.

Well done Rosalind, a sure shot as always! What would be a good kenning for mouse? How about scamper-ball?
