Which country has the bigger market for horror fiction - the UK or USA? And are American publishers predisposed to buying a horror novel from a UK author, or do they prefer homegrown talent?

Sorry, can't really answer that one for you, other than to say we sometimes have whole sections in our bookstores set aside for Horror. Stephen King, Clive Barker, Dean Koontz, and Anne Rice are some of our biggest names here. I'm sure I'm forgetting many more. As to the question of who gets published, I really don't think it matters, as long as they write well. I mean, JK Rowling is UK, but of course did a bang-up job here in the States. Go for it, man!
