Strange how the word for 'submission' is the same as givin in or yielding.
I'd like to submit the following

(Submission, or passivity) is the acknowledgement of the legitimacy of the power of one's superior or superiors.[1] Deference implies a yielding or submitting to the judgment of a recognized superior out of respect or reverence.

Just some advice so you adopt the right tone when you 'submit' to your 'superiors'...

Words eh?

to be fair, many here are still submitting to agents & publishers. Particularly I would of thought, those outside the closed publishing shop of the UK.

Yeah, okay..

I thought it was a slight on the idea of submitting here, or uploading as we rightly call it. I take the point about definition though. It's a good one..
