by Sven Hanson is really good, but Sven, you need to sort out your reading test questions - I don't think the last 12 are in your text, I had to guess & got lucky.

But it's great writing on the Vietnam War and I do recommend it
"A,B&E", "Not In My Name" and "52FF" (flash fiction anthology) all available on Amazon Kindle

I saw a film called Soldier Blue in the early 1970s. Maybe a change of title would be a good idea to avoid comparisons.

Yeah - because the film was crap.

Don't you find a lot of the titles of YWO books a bit on the clichéd side?

I just read one called "The Fire Inside"
"The Shrouds Of Death"
"Hellbound"
"Exhuming The Past" I'm not particularly picking on these, they just happened to be some of the recent ones I've been assigned. The last one sounds like the strapline, not a title?

I rejected one simply on its title, wish I could remember what it was now.

I don't remember much about it - I was too busy snogging on the back row. Those were the days!

True. You also get titles that are completly impenetrable. I was assigned one a while back called 'Some Bird And A Dog'. I never did find out why it was called that.

while that is a horrendous title, it's not unreasonable for the title not to be apparent from within the first 7000 words of the novel. One of my favourite films "Bad Timing" turns out to revolve entirely around its title, but we don't realise this until near the end.

Good lord - I was far too much of a gentleman for that sort of thing.

And I'm still no good at lying.
