Haven't seen this in English, so I'll translate quickly from the Spanish:

The poor 1 works
The rich 1 exploits him
The soldier defends the 2
The taxpayer pays for the 3
The idle one rests for the 4
The drunk drinks for the 5
The banker swindles the 6
The lawyer cheats the 7
The doctor kills the 8
The gravedigger buries the 9
The politician lives off the 10

The soldier defends the 2nd - thinking he's defending the 2?

This reminds me of a very old man who was asked the secret of longevity. "Avoid doctors, lawyers and priests," was his advice. In that order.

Hmmm. Not sure. Certainly wouldn't have married in church. Probably not present at the births of his children and, if seperated, unable, by his own credo, to legalise the situation. Probably a misogynistic bigamist; which reminds me of the dyslexic, agnostic insomniac who would lie awake all night wondering if there was a dog.
