The Napoleonic Association have asked me to speak on 'Researching and Writing a Historical Novel' at their annual conference in a fortnight.

I think tight breeches will be in order, together with braces and a belt. At least they didn't ask to see my 'O' level history certificate from 19...a long time ago. And the only date I have to remember is the day of the talk. Whew!

Should be an interesting day. Prozac, anyone?

Hopefully you won't end up in exile afterwards ... seriously though, big congratulations, although you've haven't actually said whether you're definitely going to do it. However, your meticulous attention to your outfit, tight breeches and all, suggests that, in actual fact, you can't wait!
Well done, hope it goes well!

if I don't give out free plugs, then what's to stop the bathwater draining out instantly in an anti-clockwise direction from here in Britain?
