My historical memoir, which begins in the Ukraine, 1932-33, has finally been published (in all formats) by Night Publishing, and is available in US and UK paperback formats, as well as Kindle editions:

Sliding on the Snow Stone - UK paperback edition

Thanks to everyone at YWO for all the reviews I received, when I workshopped the book here, chapter by chapter. In particular I'd like to say a big thank you to Ann Swinfen and Claire Whatley for the terrific amount of help they both gave me.

Andy:

It's fantastic that you got those memoirs published. It was a noble and moving work that fully deserves an audience. They have really little idea what happened in Ukraine in the Western world. Your powerful piece may shed some light to many

Nicely done my friend.

Many thanks for those kind words, Bill. And thanks for getting the feedback from the home country for me that time - it was invaluable, although I must admit I was a bit nervous about receiving it.

'Lenin's Harem' - a great new title and a cover of true quality. I hope it does well for you. Just heading off to take a look at your Facebook author page now . . .

Thanks Andy for the kind words and the Facebook "Like." I have made an author Facebook site so (apparently) I can't return the favor. I can't "Like" personal pages. I'm all rather confused by this stuff.

But, I did share "Sliding on the Snow Stone" on my page. I don't have much traffic but every little bit helps. I hope! It's a noble book. (As someone who lives in Ukraine I know).

Best, Bill

Congratulations, Zak. I remember the discussion about the title - seems you got it exactly right!

Bill, I really wouldn't worry about it too much. Your Facebook author page looks just fine, and I'm sure you'll find ways to develop it in time - and get a bit more traffic.
I'll do a few 'shares' for you, anyway, on Facebook - I'm linked into a few groups there, so maybe that'll help.
