"
Shay What a fantastic concept. This is totally unique - a combination fantasy/crime novel. It is beautifully written, with excellent settings and good use of dialogue. I assume we are in the presence of angels - the names are ceratinly old and resonant.
I like the gritty depictions of the police - urinating on Shay's meal, beating him up and then getting drunk and coming back to beat him up again. I like the fact that I still don't know if Shay is a mass-murderer or not (whatever might be driving him to it). Your charcters are very powerful and emotive - especially the dying father ...
I wish you the best of luck with this. "
Synopsis
This is the story of Xavier Shay Laurent, a tale of devotion between brothers, of a loyalty so enduring that nothing can break the bond – nothing except perhaps a man who also had a brother, and whose hatred drives him to exact a terrible revenge for that brother’s death.
