I've just had my first two time outs and having just uploaded a heavily modified version I'm wondering if the new style has put them off. It would be nice to know - yes definitely frustrating!

Why not advertise for an exchange of Free Wills, or approach someone whose opinion you respect? Beats waiting 8 days!

You're probably right. I have always been read almost immediately, I've never thought about it and as I have little time to offer FW, I hadn't considered it. Plus, having only been here a short time, I wouldn't know who I admired...

That said, I will give this a try (Thanks)

May I suggest that you skim through the 'thank you' forum for thank yous that include such words as 'helpful', 'thoughtful'. Go to the books concerned, read those reviews and see how useful YOU think they are. You'll soon identify the conscientious reviewers, who really try to help. You'll also spot the ones who are after a quick credit and merely say ' loved it, wish I'd written it, can't say anything bad about it' or alternatively 'this didn't work for me, it's not really my genre, the plot/characters/dialogue needs a lot of work (without specifying what is wrong or suggesting ways to put the problem right)'

There are many who fall between the two. You may only get one helpful suggestion from them, but even that one is worth having.
