I uploaded my new work a few days ago and assigned 5 reading credits to it, and so far it's only been assigned to one person. Are people not requesting reading assignments as often as they used to?

I'm trying to request at least three a week, but it'll be pointless building up credits if no one reads my work.

You can only have 1 person assigned your book at a time (except for rare glitches when yiou might get a second, but they often turn out to be phantoms).

Attaching extra credits makes no discernible difference. It doesn't speed things up.

Where in the world do you ever see exact 1 to 1 correlation between effort and reward? You just have to suck it up and see I'm afraid.
"A,B&E", "Not In My Name" and "52FF" (flash fiction anthology) all available on Amazon Kindle

A handy hint. If you attach one credit at a time, it will go out quicker. Don't ask me why!

Something odd is going on 10 days and still no second review dispite being assigned. I remember Athena had a similar problem a few weeks ago, there must be a glich in the system. Looks like I'll have to remove it and resubmit and lose the credits I've already earned.

A couple of people must have removed the assignment. This happens from time to time for any number of reasons. So persevere with it until you have the feedback you need.

I'm really coming to the end of my tether, wrote to admin to ask if there was a glitch in the system, they say no. So why have my chapters still not received a second review, by my count it would mean that four people in a row have now removed it from their list. I've rewritten the synopsis, but still no joy. I may as well take it down and resubmit and lose the review I've already got.

Unfortunately, this sometimes happens. Check your opening is properly formatted and well-written enough to hook your reader. If this sounds like putting the cart before the horse, it is. Sorry. Otherwise all you can do is get on with something else while you wait. You'll learn patience, if nothing else.

I had a gap of 18 days recently. Some time-outs, some returns, but that's the way it goes sometimes. Keep the faith!
