So sad to see the demise of Chistopher Hitchens - struck down by God no doubt for all his blasphemies.
Loved it when he tore down petty Pope Blair in a BBC debate.

Agreed, Notley. Hitchens was always brilliant and provocative. I loved listening to him, even when I disagreed.

Yep, he'd get my vote - another colorful character in the wake of a tide of beigeness.
Only an "s" stands between laughter and slaughter.

Why isn't that listed in the column to the right, I wonder?
Never heard that line.
The guy was funny, as well as being wise.

Just hit on a bunch of other quotes on the BBC webpage, some of which I hadn't seen before.
My favourite:
Endless praise and adoration, limitless abnegation and abjection of self; a celestial North Korea.
...Hitch's take on Heaven
Magnifique...

and yet when I employ such vocabulary...
"A,B&E", "Not In My Name" and "52FF" (flash fiction anthology) all available on Amazon Kindle

"How a psychopath makes sweet love. I can get you ringside. Royal box even."
