Hi, in anticipation of launching my YWO published novel After Goya I have been looking around for appropriate and effective blogs to which I can send copies for review. I've found a good many refuse to accept review copies from authors (only accepting books directly from publishers or publicists), while others refuse to review POD books. While the more popular I'm aware that there are a good few blogs specialising in, say, romance and horror and sci-fi - but what of general readers? or crime readers? What has been your experience of getting reviews on well-read readers' and reviewers' blogs? Are you able to recommend, or point me in the direction, of well-regarded book blogs? My novel is crime-adventure-thriller. I've emailed Eurocrime UK but have not yet received a response. I'd be very grateful for any pointers. Regards.

These people review POD (they used to be just Lulu). I have had a good response from them. You submit your work, if they're interested they'll let you know. www.llbookreview.com

Then I checked www.bookreview.com and it did work, but it is a US based website asking for $175 per review, plus $35 for a listing. Which may or may not be bad depending on the results, which depends on the number of hits they are getting, which I didn't find Is this the outfit you mean? D.

I can't get much of it at work because it's filtered. Try this link http://llbookreview.com/tag/llbookreview/
