Reading some of the older posts on this thread has made me feel all nostalgic. Wonder what's happened to all the people that used to hang out here?

I miss Gentle Desdemona. Where are you Dessie?

She'll be back they always come back (wrings hands fiendishly) We do 'hear' occasionally from some of the aforementioned from time to time via the visitor stats. Haven't heard from Dessie for a while though, which is a shame. Perhaps when we get some more of the new changes in (I think she was keen to see the credit rule for the top 30 which is now in) we'll drop her a line.

Hi. I'm new. Have completed a review and want to download my submission, but I'm not familiar with how to format it. Please help.
1: Do I single space my document and skip lines between paragraphs?
2. If I submit a passage in italics, will it remain in italics once it goes online?
Thanks in advance,
Texan

Single space with an extra line between paragraphs. All formatting such as italics and bold will be lost and cannot be used.

Hope that helps.

Hi Robot:
I uploaded my chapters awhile ago and followed the instructions to go to 'my page' to edit them. When I went there, they were not there. Do you have any explanation of what could have happened to them? Did I goof in some way?

Hey Tex, it's hard to say why you didn't see your chapters. I've checked and I'm able to read what you've uploaded. One you've told the system you want to edit your excerpt by clicking the ‘pencil,’ then at the upper left is “Click here to Edit this book's Text and Reading Test.” Then, it has you confirm your test questions and answers. After that you may begin editing the text.
Best,
Norm

Hi Texan

Your chapters are displaying on site. Are they now displaying in 'edit'?

Question about editing.

If underlines or italics are lost in certain passages during upload, is there any way in the editing process to put these back in while the submission is online? A reload of the chapters will simply take them back out again.
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Texan.

Hi Texan

Thank you for your query. There's no function to display italics/underline, etc, at present, the system works as it does to display text across a variety of internet browsers. There will be a function to upload pdfs in the future, which will keep formatting.

Best
