Could I just confirm (hypothetically speaking, on behalf of a friend, obviously) that if a novel is in the top 5 at month-end but NOT one of the top 3 novel openings, it will get a tiny professional crit then go straight to the bestsellers chart? While a novel at number 6, for example, will get a tiny crit AND have at least a chance of entering the top 3 the next month, thereby receiving a really lengthy crit? Or has my "friend" got it all wrong?

If, for example, your friend is at number 5 at the end of the month and there are (for example) novels at number 1,2 and 4, your friend will win a mini-crit, but will stay in the charts and have a chance to win a full crit.

Woo-hoo! Thanks, Cinnamon.

You're welcome. I've read My House, and I think it's good.

I loved it Kathryn. Fingers crossed "your friend" gets a full crit.

Hmmm, not sure that's how it's working. Winton made Best Seller with Beyond Nostalgia but he just got a mini-crit from Orion and disappeared off into the Best Sellers list. Tom, if you see this - how many novels were above you when you made Best Seller? Did you go Best Seller in your first TT month or on the 25 day rule?

The top five enter the best sellers list. The top three novels receive the pro-crit. It's possible that number four and number five would enter the Best Sellers Charts without receiving the Pro Crit. I believe there's a rule whereby a novel in the Best Seller charts that hasn't received a Pro Crit can be re-uploaded.

I had one of the Top Three novels a couple of months ago but I only got a mini crit, and I went into the Best Sellers.
