That writer 'Grumpy old Bookman' suggests that as it is heartbreaking for unpublished authors to find a literary agent it is better for them to publish their work as a blog.

I would be all for that, but I am not good at setting up a website, and fairly short of cash. I know you can get free websites, but how do you direct traffic to the website? I published some articles on websites and got such wonderful traffic in a year as 100 hits...

Could anyone advise me?

Thanks.

The programmer's skills can be helpful. For example if you put bestseller chart in google search then this site's charts comes up in the first four search results, see link below. This isn't because we are a massive YouTube type site but a lot of it is down to our programmer's skills which in turn helps with more site visitors. As part of it you consider what you are going to call your site pages e.g. we called it the bestseller chart as we figured, rightly or wrongly, this might encourage visitors who were looking up books on various bookseller sites. So you think what to call your site pages to encourage visitors to 'come across' your work on the web and have a browse.

Google search for 'bestseller chart'
