Path of the Labyrinth by Alexander Struan

Genre : Historical, Thriller

Review Extract from Review By: Gerry Marron
"I was watching a DVD of the BBC’s Great War series the other night and it was the episode on the Balkans campaign. So I was keen to read your story.

I think you do a particularly good job with atmosphere — I could definitely imagine myself back in 1917. The temptation in the opening scenes would be to go over the top with explosions, gunfire, blood and guts etc. and end up too melodramatic. But you don’t ..You write well. I particularly liked that image, “the buttery square of light” in chapter three. The narrative flows smoothly .."

Synopsis
Serbia, 1915. In the midst of the Serbian Retreat, a Scottish nurse rediscovers her past. The family she married into has a frightening secret. But will she survive the promises she made?
