I require a literary agent to assist in seeking publication of my novel. The successful candidate should have good links with publishing houses, and be able to demonstrate a general knowledge of the sort of publishers and target demographic that this book would appeal to.
This 120,000-word novel will be finished within the next four weeks and I am quietly confident of its prospects of publication. Having been immersed in this book for the last two years however, it is admittedly hard for me to assess its merits objectively.
Suitable applicants will be emailed two sample chapters of the novel. If they are satisfied with its quality and prospects of publication, we can proceed from there. I would be happy to negotiate a flat fee, for taking on this project, with a bonus if the novel goes on to be published.
I am a 30-year old blogger and copywriter currently applying the finishing touches to ‘Food’, my debut novel. The book tells the story of London rudeboy Eric ‘EZ’ Belabed who is coerced into traveling to Scotland with a bar of cocaine and winds up getting dragged into a world of drugs, sex and violence - the essential staples for any ripping good yarn. To use the first lazy journalistic comparison that springs to mind, I’ll say it’s Trainspotting meets Human Traffic with a contemporary twist. With hard-hitting language, dark humour and copious drug references, the novel’s aimed firmly at Generation Y, or whatever the current term is for anyone under 40.
Although a work of fiction, the majority of the novel is based on real life events. This in itself doesn’t mean that the book is necessarily any good, but it certainly adds to the gritty realism of the narrative. I think this book’s ace and is gonna sell millions of copies, but then I would because I wrote the damn thing. I need an agent to look at it objectively and then help get it published.Job BudgetJob Type : Fixed Price Job
