I'm sure it's been asked a thousand times, but what font would you recommend for a full ms hard-copy submission? I'm sure of: A4 White Double spaced single-sided 12 point but what font?

I've always thought you can't go wrong with Times New Roman but here they suggest Bookman old style or Georgia and I have to agree with her logic, that the letters are better spaced for reading/editing

Times New Roman seems to be the one usually specified, but Palatino or Bookman might be acceptable. All three are serif fonts, which I find easier to read. Times New Roman is slightly smaller than the corresponding font size in the other two.

That's another reason to use TNR, you get more words on the page and this could mean more words in your sample text, which is probably a good thing, isn't it?

No this is not a sample, this is the full text, the whole deal. They have seen the first chapters and want the rest. A tighter text is less pages, but a bigger font is easier to read, I'm leaning towards Bookman old style, but everybody loves TNR Sammy, where are you when I need you?

I like Century Schoolbook, probably 'cos my eyes aren't as good as they were. I write all my stuff in Calibri (for myself), but change it to Century Schoolbook if I want to submit it. But I think Times New Roman is probably the safe bet. Personally I don't like it.
