"A,B&E", "Not In My Name" and "52FF" (flash fiction anthology) all available on Amazon Kindle"How a psychopath makes sweet love. I can get you ringside. Royal box even."

Thank you Sulcus - TLC do look good.
I've also heard good things about Cornerstones and The Writers Advice Centre - anyone been through them?
It's a big expense so worth getting right, eh?

If the ones that you pay for from them are as good I would think that they will be worth the cost.

I'd totally recommend Cornerstones. They have a filtering system and will only work with you if they think you are at a stage where you might benefit. Also, if your work is really up to scratch they will pass you through to an agent. Quite a few writers have ended up with publishing deals this way. Kathryn Robinson heads up the children's fiction part of the outfit and she is really great.

Cornerstones without doubt. I have been working with Kathryn Robinson and Helen Corner on various projects for a number of years and it is their Consultancy more than any other group of critiquers who have brought me on. As long as I can afford it, I will keep going back to them. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Yes, I totally agree with you both about Cornerstones - they are great. I know I've posted about this before recently, but I can't emphasise enough how helpful Kathryn Robinson was when she read my early chapters (for free). Loads of useful advice, especially about point of view and character voice - try emailing or phoning her for an informal chat about what help you need

I'm in the same situation. I'm undecided between Cornerstones (which I haven't used before) and JBW (which I have).

Claireann - sounds wonderful that this person read your chapters for free. How much does one normally have to pay Cornerstones? Sadly, I'm a bit hard up... Thanks Jessica
