I uploaded, my first novel, Sari Caste, my first novel yesterday to Amazon UK and today it is on the Kindle site. I'm so pleased with the way it looks and it has a link to the paperback too.

I'm just wondering now how to promote it.

Anyway, it's a good feeling. I hope it gets some takers. Fingers crossed.

Whoops I've duplicated this by trying to edit after uploading - not intentional. At least I didn't do that with Kindle!

I've e-mailed you, Catherine and sent out a tweet to get you started. Good luck.

Thanks Beth. Yes it is exciting and now I've got one book uploaded on Kindle, I'm looking forward to uploading the second one. It's a totally different genre - more General/Fantasy. At least that's the nearest I could get in defining it. That one's called See Through.

Thanks Pam, I've got your email. You're so kind in helping me out in this. I'd never have got going without your encouragement. It seemed such a colossal undertaking but it didn't take too long in the end. I'm looking forward to seeing if anyone will read it now. Thanks for the tweeting too. That should help.

I do hope your own books keep doing well, especially at Christmas. Catherine

It works! 'Sari Caste' has arrived on my Kindle. The cover is pleasing, with that one leaf of Ficus religiosa (I've been waiting for the chance to type that - now I'll go away and check the spelling)

Bon Voyage,

Harry

Thanks Harry. I had no idea that the Latin name for a Peepal leaf sounded so spiritual. And you've got the spelling spot on!

I wrote this story this after reading a big spread in a Sunday Newspaper Supplement. I don't know if it will be your kind of thing, but I hope you survive it and maybe enjoy it, anyhow!

Gosh customers already!!!!

And it's arrived on mine too. It all looks good. @Harry, did you see my message above in the Writers' Circle? Tom Fleck is featured on a site with mine and Turnip's books. There's a live link to the site. Scroll down the page and you'll see it.

Thanks, Pam. I had not read that post. It is a nice surprise.

Meanwhile, I'll be interested to see how Catherine handles Calcutta. Some things will have changed since my ship sweated in Kidderpore Docks for two months in every year - 50 years ago.
