Hi
I am new and thought I should just introduce myself. I love reading and writing (especially for children). I have just posted my book Shadow Jumper aimed at 8 to 12 year olds if anyone wishes to take a look. I am happy to give feedback and if anything takes my fancy I will give a free read (time permitting).
One question about the workings of the site. I have 4 reading credits but from the stats it appears nobody has been assigned my book to read. I have had two reviews and am desperate for more! Any ideas how long it takes for a reader to be assigned to a book?
Thanks for any advice on this matter.

Hi, I'm new too and in a similar situation. I have credits in the bank, but no-one is assigned to read them. I have had one review and desperate for more. Can anyone advise please how to get read. I've been busy reading and reviewing but it seems no-one else is.

Hi
I too have been busy posting reviews. I've done about 8. I have now had 4 reviews but it does seem incredibly slow. If you like I'll give you a free read. I need to pop out now so it'll be sometime this evening. If you care to do the same for me I'd be grateful but do't feel compelled!
My book is Shadow Jumper.

Hi Julia
I was going to suggest the same thing but I'm not sure free will reviews count towards your overall total. Happy to review for you though. My book is called The Pain and the Peril. It's an historical novel.

Hello both. The percieved wisdom is that you are better off only attaching one credit at a time and keeping the rest in the bank. No one knows why but you seem to get assigned quicker that way.

No, freewill reviews don't count chart-wise but they can be very useful for feedback.

Hi newbies and welcome. It can sometime be a little frustrating waiting for your work to be assigned, but be patient. Assign one credit at a time—don’t ask why—and bank the rest. Reviews often come in flurries, so check every day and update your credits. The quicker you complete reading assignments, the quicker other members will be assigned your work. Most important, don’t get upset when you receive a real stinker, everyone gets them! Good luck

Hi
I would be happy to give your historical novel a free read. Shame it doesn't count but I guess the more views you get on your piece the better!

Just posted a review on Shadow Jumper. All the best. Going to bank all my credits now and send them to assign one at a time as advised and wait patiently.
Regards. Helen
