Title : In Times of War (revised)
Author : James Stevenson
Genre : Action, Adventure, Historical, Romance

"
Authentic feel I liked this piece. It was well researched and read very convincingly. Blanche is an interesting heroine. We didn't see much of the other characters in what we were given but what we saw of Mme Cazalet was promising.
I'm tempted to draw comparisons with Le Carré's "The Little Drummer Girl" - a favourite of mine. One thing that you moght learn, though, from that work is to put more detail into the part where Dadan builds up the false identity for Blanche - Le Carré does this particularly well. It would also help to give atmosphere to the book to describe what it must have felt like to be a refugee from the German advance.
Anyway, you've done very well and should be proud."

Synopsis
Blanche finds herself in France during WW2. She infiltrates the social life of the local Luftwaffe station and risks her life on a dangerous that changes her life.
