Mark Twain was obviously a stickler for the old writing rules, then.

Which is possibly why this programme says I write like Mark Twain. Maybe there is something in it after all...?

Mark Twain on the Tamar possibly...
"A,B&E", "Not In My Name" and "52FF" (flash fiction anthology) all available on Amazon Kindle

Not the Tamar, that's half in Devon. The Fal, maybe. Or the Helford. Or my favourite, the Camel.

Ha ha ha. Can't you tell I've never set foot in the deep South-West?

I did go to Torquay once. It was shut.

That's by far the best time to visit Torquay.

I just tried and got Vladimir Nabokov and Stephen King.

I have never heard of Vladimir Nabokov so I just looked him up on Google. Just read a brief outline about one of his books, Lolita. A book about a pedophiles love for a 12 year old girl.

Glad it's about style and not content given I'm writing for children

You're a writer and you've never heard of Nabakov? I'm stunned.
