I want to sell you something..
I haven't actually got it, don't know where to get it from and have no way of knowing if i'll ever get it, but if you order it off me, I'll send in on when I get it. BTW, did you want it gift wrapped?

Any takers?
Would you think me daft trying to sell something I haven't got?
It can't even be strictly legal advertising something that's not mine.

Free delivery. Would that help

How about if I said "It's just temporarily out of stock" It's not true, but what's the harm; you wouldn't call it a lie would you?

Would you think me daft? immoral? dodgy? all three?

So how come no one bats an eye when Amazon do it?
Hexut, the paperback

You can order it off them, but willl you ever get it?

One of my publications is in that exalted position, but someone bought a copy, and to the best of my knowledge received it.

Interesting! A book I never published appears on Amazon, available from a bookshop in America for over £63.

I sent them a message last week, asking for more details.

I have not received a reply.

Not sure, I'll need to check, if it hasn't vanished.

I'm going to complain to Amazon about not getting an answer to my genuine interest in this rare book.

Of course, one of my fans may already have snapped it up at this bargain price.
