I've just found a
fascinating post on the Snowbooks blog in which Emma Barnes, co-founder of Snowbooks, discusses how small publishers (and, by extension, self-publishers) can sell their books effectively through bookshops.
It's a very interesting read because it explains why some books succeed and some books fail, and what publishers and authors can do to ensure that their books are in the former category and not the latter.
