About an hour ago I was checking my 'Manage your reading credits' page, when both the figure 'ones' disappeared before my eyes (one credit assigned, one reviewer assigned).
Aha, I thought. A review coming in at last.
But no review has appeared, nor has the credit returned.
Has it vanished into space?
Has the system fouled up?
Has the assignment monster eaten my review?
Should I allocate another credit?

I know this - it's happened to me. It means that someone who was assigned your piece has already given a free will. So the credit is absorbed by that, even though FW scores don't count. Hmmm... I've just looked at your page and I can't see a FWR. I think you'd better ask Ted through the Contact Us facility.

Hi, Sue No, I hadn't had a FW on this, but suddenly - mysteriously! - the review appeared, nearly two hours after the above disappearance. I think the YWO computer must be working to rule. Thanks for responding. This way of dealing with FWs seems rather unfair. I'm glad it hasn't happened to me (so far). I hope your own writing is going well at the moment. Ann

Stranger than fiction! The writing seems to be going OK, but I'm probably not the best judge of that. I get a lot of insightful comments, which help no end. Good luck with your latest upload. It's looking good.

I know the problem's been resolved, but for future reference: if someone is assigned your story, rejects it, then later gives you a FW, the review is counted as an assignment and in your scores. This happened when panurge FWed me. My stats show no FW reviews, and I have 10 scores in my ratings.
