Me neither. not yet. I feel this year is a good one, though. Gambaru! (it means never give up).

Hi Gabriella,

'Gambaru' does mean 'never give up' but this is the 'dictionary form' of the verb and doesn't make much sense on its own. If you want to tell someone to never give up, say 'Gambatte', or when watching sport, 'Gambare!'

(There's been French corrections elsewhere, so I thought as an ex-Japanese teacher I'd poke my nose in.)

Is your avatar in any way connected with your previous calling as a Japanese teacher?

(I'm not published either, is there a club?)
