Hey,

an agent has requested to see my entire, completed manuscript via email. I'm not sure if I need to put any more personal information on the manuscript, such as my name on each page...?

Any help would be much appreciated

Cheers

First of all, Rich, CONGRATS!!! for winning the interest of an agent! I'm very excited for you.

Have you reviewed the agent's website? Usually, there are submission guidelines on the page. If not, I would try to research the net to see if you can find other info.

I know with the 3 agents I've sent my novel, I had a cover page with the title and my info only, then the title page then the manuscript had my name and page numbers on every page. There were also websites that listed submission guidelines, so I was lucky.

If there isn't a website per se, see if there is a blog site that talks about the agent. A lot of times, you'll find folks who have submitted to that agent before and will leave pointers on blogs.

You could always call the agent's office and ask for submission guidelines or where you can find them. I've known people who have done this with good results. I don't know if I'd have the nerve to call but it might work.

Keep us posted and let us know if the agent decides to represent you and you accept! What exciting news. Which book caught his eye?

I've always considered it the standard to page number and add your name as a footer.

But never mind that WELL DONE in getting the full manuscript request. I will keep things crossed for you!!

Morrisman, your head appears to have fallen off, shrunk in size, turned yellow and reproduced itself by meiosis and now blowing raspberrys at you. Time to crack the whip and bring them back into line.
