I just got my new copy of Granta through the post yesterday and saw that it didn't have an introduction from the editor, or a theme for the issue, which I thought was a bit odd, so I did a bit of digging around on the net and found this story:
Millionaire philanthropist Sigrid Rausing and her husband Eric Abraham, the owners of Granta and Portobello Books, are to take a more hands-on role at the enterprises they own. The news comes following the announcement earlier (10th June) that m.d. David Graham has resigned, and after Granta magazine's editor Alex Clark left a fortnight ago.... It's a shame to see Alex Clark go, as the last few editions were really good, particularly the one about fathers - which was inspiring, but it seams money really can buy you anything these days...
