Got offered a contract for "Behind the Hood" and future books I publish by Wheelers, a big company who supplies books to Australian and New Zealand Libraries. So, I'm pretty stoked as I've been wanting to get "Behind the Hood" into libraries. They're doing some new thing with ebooks in libraries, and want to sign "Behind the Hood" up for it, plus also ave the opportunity to sell the paperback as well. This all came from a lady from Goodreads who happened to be a librarian. She gave me five stars and at a LIANZA conference spoke to the company's head about it. I love Goodreads

It shows word of mouth really does work. Also, the New Zealand Chamber of Commerce isn't just hiring a cafe for me they're hiring a specialty bookstore in Singapore who puts on book events for authors. I'm meeting up to check out the place on Tuesday.

Additionally I've had a major magazine here contact me and do a full page spread on me. Plus, I've had to order a shitload of books for book signings.

So, don't think self-publishing is bad, because it sure as hell doesn't look that way for me. If I kept sending out to bloody lit agents I wouldn't have been offered all this.

You can paint, you can write, you can network and publicise yourself. I'm sure some of those talents should have come my way!!!!! Good news. Well done!

Well done, Marita, that's fantastic. You've worked so hard on your books and relentlessly on the marketing side of things and boy has it paid off. I'm so thrilled for you. Big hugs. You really do deserve it. Have you announced it on our Kindle FB page?

Thanks, Pam.

No, I haven't announced it there. I forgot to. I have a bad habit of just doing things on my personal page.
