To celebrate the New Year, I’ve made the Kindle edition of my novel, Becoming Lola, free to download from Amazon for 1st and 2nd January.
A Best Seller on YWO it's based on the true story of how Eliza Gilbert, a girl with modest prospects, turned herself into Lola Montez, the most notorious adventuress of the nineteenth century.
YWO reviewers called it an excellent story told with flair and gusto; a very good read; beautifully crafted and richly evocative. Hope some of you find time to have a look.
Happy New Year and good luck with your writing.

Hi Pam
Yes and I'm still reeling! I never thought I would cross the 200 barrier. (215 this morning). Many thanks for your support.
By the way, I'm enjoying Three Steps to Heaven, I think you've evoked the period very well and the characters are strong and interesting. I'll do a review on Amazon for you when I finish.
Best wishes

Thanks, Hattie. If you're on facebook you should join our kindle authors group. Catherine's in it too and Ann Swinfen and Tim and Harry and many others from here who've gone the Kindle route. It's great in that we promote each other on various sites and Twitter. You have to put a bit of time in, but it's easy enough and pays off in sales as the promos go out to thousands of people. Let me know if you'd like to join and I'll add you. Pam.

Hi Hattie, Yes I have two books on Kindle, Sari Caste, which I've just put on KDP and See Through. I am writing another novel but have stopped to put time into promoting these two. I hope to get back to writing again soon. I'm still putting my work up for reviews but haven't time completed the novel by any means yet. I hope you join the group, as Pam suggested. It's challenging but in a good and satisfying way. I've really enjoyed learning and of course still have tons to learn. It keeps the grey matter from shrivelling. Catherine

PS If you want to take a peek at my stories go to Amazon Kindle put in the title of my book and my name after that - Catherine Kirby. Sorry another bit of learning I need to do - how to put in a link here. I've tried to find out but no luck so far.

Hi Pam
I'm not on Facebook at the moment but I''ve been thinking about doing it so you've given me the spur I needed - New Year new me perhaps! May I get back to you when I'm on though? I'm a bit of a Luddite and it may take me a while. Also I wonder if you could tell me how you created the live link? Not something I know how to do.

Best wishes

Hattie
