I'm considering going down the Kindle route. I've been told it's best to find an editor. How much would it cost for a 90,000 word book, and where do I start with finding a good editor?

Best to get recommendations. I did not and the man took a year instead of the 6 weeks he advertised.

Do you want just a technical editor or someone who will re-write the whole thing?

Rate suggested by Society for Editors and Proofreaders, and National Union of Journalists, is around the £20 mark for proofreading. Slightly more for copy editing. Katie

Try these people, they are recommended by Eve White Agency, although a cynic might wonder if there is a connection. . .still their prices are clearly set out along with each service and timetable, as it were, http://www.cornerstones.co.uk/#/ratessubmission/cornerstonesrates/

"A,B&E", "Not In My Name" and "52FF" (flash fiction anthology) all available on Amazon Kindle"How a psychopath makes sweet love. I can get you ringside. Royal box even."

"A journalist sub-editor is more £14-15 an hour." Though often they will be on a mininum number of hours contract arrangement. Freelancers charge, or supposed to charge only for time spent. I edit medical texts for between €25 and €32 per hour. Mr Edit might be worth a shout - partly depends on genre too. And I've heard good things said about Bubble Cow too.
