if you have the 8 reviews required for chart entry and you then use your 'after 5 reviews' power to remove one. Do you also get removed from the charts?

Yep. It happened to me with Phantasmagoria. I checked with Ted 'cos I thought if you'd actually had the qualifying eight reviews you would stay in the charts but he said it didn't work like that, there had to be eight showing.

Thanks Temperance. I'll just have to wait for that elusive number 9 (and hope it's a good one!)

Again, youtube videos would help document the processes here on this site. Andrew

By the way, you don't film the computer and use that, you would use software like Camtasia Studio to produce screen shot videos, ie, only what happens on the screen. Andrew

Quote: awrigley, Saturday, 30 Jan 2010 15:31Again, youtube videos would help document the processes here on this site. Andrew A Youtube ‘instructions manual video’ is a good idea. Currently we're full on working on/bringing in some new Arts Council funded systems so not something we can get to presently. Throwing an idea out there, if anyone were interested in doing something like this which we might use on YouTube (depending on the result) then you can let us know. This could, quid pro quo, include for example a screenshot of their story as part of outlining the site processes e.g. "you see your reviews on this page" with the example page being the collective reviews one, which might inspire the YouTube viewer to take an interest in reading the story too. The caveat if anyone is interested is that we might decide that what was presented wasn’t quite right for us, or that we went with something different or part used some aspects, in that case, and in these circumstances quid pro quo, we’d likely make a gesture of a number of reading credits for the work that had been attempted. If it were presented clearly and briefly (knowing what the web is like with regard to people wanting info shorter and quicker and the complexities of the site and its rules) then it could be something we link from a prominent page e.g. faqs etc. I think for a YouTube ‘video’ a site like this could probably do with a ‘quick’ guide e.g. the very basics, and links to a longer guide. We’d also reserve the right to change to suit re how this was presented. So best to know all of the above going in, if of interest for anyone. If not, then at some point it is something we will get to, it’s a good idea. Good luck with the elusive number 9 Antcity.

Ted I have done a number of videos, so am happy to take the plunge with one. Name a theme. I would have to do it on a sleepless night, as the sound of me talking to my computer unnerves my wife and the dogs start barking when I say any variant of the word 'walk', eg, 'walk in the park'. The quid pro quo for me would be to not have to post 3 reviews in March, as I will be on holiday for most of the month. I could do a quick general overview of the site and email you the link. Andrew
