Hey guys,

I have a quick question. As far as I can tell, I have achieved the necessary requirements for a chart positions (opening chapters 5-7k, 8 assignment reviews, credit attached in last 7 days, reviews more than 7 days before end of month) but for several days now my chart position is 'pending'.

Am I missing something?

Cheers,
Michael.

Hi there!

This seems to happen. It takes a while for your own page to update.

You are in the chart if you take a look...at number 20.

Great title by the way.

Cheers.

Cheers! That clears it up.

Love the Bill Hicks quote BTW. Man was a genius.

Too true.

I was lucky enough to see him live back in '91.

I had 'pending' on my writer page for a while even after one of my stories had entered the chart.

All my Best Sellers still say "pending" on My Page. Only the one that isn't a Best Seller has a chart position given. In short, this is one of the new functions that isn't working properly yet.

Hi there,
Is this the same with my bestseller entry, Cain Bone Whittled?
I can't find it anywhere and it says pending on my page.
It's been up for ages but I only just heard about the 8 reviews rule and added one more review. Any ideas? Do I just have to wait for it to appear in the charts after a few days? It was reviewed about three days ago.
Thanks everyone.

You're at 17 in the best seller chart novels genre. You won't go back into the normal charts unless you upload a revised version and get reviews in. The pending sign is on all Best Sellers at the mo, waiting for future changes to the site when it will have a new title like "Top-Tenner" or something. . Hope that helps.

Thank you Pam,
Guess I've got to start all over again and re-upload the chapters if I want to get critiqued on my updated chapters?

Yes, you can re-upload, providing enough time has gone by, and I presume it has? Do you need to have further official reviews? Why not substitute your old chapters with your new ones on the original upload, keep your best seller label etc, and ask for a few free-wills and reciprocate, if feedback is all you need before you start to submit. Or do that and add further credits, but put a little note up front telling people what you have done. Up to you really. Worlds your lobster, as we say up north.
