At the risk of being a shameless self-publicist, the cover of my novel Apocalypse Cow is up on Terry Pratchett's facebook page.

Apparently it made him "snort with laughter". Perhaps he was just choking on an olive.

How super! Talk about being in with the big boys. Hope you're enjoying it all.

I see you're doing a diary of your Pratchett prize winning experiences here;

Good article and I'm looking foward to the ones to come.

"forget the cud they want blood" Sounds like this is going to be a lot of pun.

Brilliant news, Michael. I think your diary of how events unfolded is great and, like DC, I look forward to more.

Well done, sir. Exciting times!

Great article. How exactly do you manage to kick yourself in the balls while crossing your legs? No, don't tell me in case I start doing it!

Draig - groan! It's the udder jokes I'm waiting for.

Silk - the technique was taught to me by the Masochist Kung Fu Monks of Manchuria. It requires great discipline and concentration to deliver such a blow with force. I'm quite good at it.

Chickin - I didn't post the link, because I imagine it could very quickly become tiresome for everyone to hear my blabbing on about my book!

Michael, I think you're going to have lose that reticence!

Anyway, your diary is more about being a winner and what it's like to work with professionals on the way to publication. That has to be of interest and value to all aspiring novelists. It inspires others to see you having succeeded and gives them a push to keep on trying themselves.

Don't be shy!
