Author accuses Seinfelds of copying her cookbook

Source: Guardian

An author is suing the comic Jerry Seinfeld and his wife, Jessica, for plagiarism and defamation. Seeking unspecified damages, Missy Chase Lapine's lawsuit alleges that Jessica plagiarised her children's cookbook. The lawsuit also quotes Jerry, speaking on The Late Show with David Letterman, as saying: "One of the fun facts of celebrity life is wackos will wait in the woodwork to pop out at certain moments of your life to inject a little adrenaline into your life experience."

The Seinfelds deny the claims, and their lawyer suggested Lapine was seeking publicity for her own book.
