Yes tis I Sulcus issuing a ukase seeking suggestions for magazines that publish SciFi stories (preferably UK based), for I Sulcus have written one such and temporarily lapsed from the shrine of LitFic that I wearily furrow. (Actually this scifi one is pretty literary).

It's only 1000 words long which I'm guessing may be an impediment in the world of scifi short stories.

Any suggestions gratefully received as it's a world I'm not overly clued up on.

If you want a sneak preview you can read it on my blog. It's called "If IT Were YOU" and is about cyborg consciousness
"A,B&E", "Not In My Name" and "52FF" (flash fiction anthology) all available on Amazon Kindle

Well you need a channel for all that stigmatic blood to drain away into don't you?

Try searching on duotrope Marc. You can specify genre and country to narrow down the search.

Biggest print sf magazine in the UK is 'Interzone', and has its own website if you google 'tta press.' I think they still only accept postal submissions.

Another good place to check your story is the website 'oww sff.' It's a critique website dedicated to sf. But beware-- I've had some brutal critiques there. Really brutal. Over it now, I think.

According to the current issue of Writers' News, Interzone is currently accepting fiction but not non-fiction submissions. The website is http://ttapress.co./interzone

Thanks Marjorie. Lee's suggestion of Duotrope as a portal to loads of publications is an amazing one and I would recommend it to all short/flash story writers thinking of submitting. I've just spent my Sunday morning pouring through the list my parameters threw out from the site.
