A cheeky question..!

I have been really chuffed that many of my reviewers have led me to believe that it may be worth continuing with my first attempt at writing.

Several reviewers have said I should add more description of the characters. I have now done this.

My question is this - would it be cheeky/against the whole point of the site to ask my previous reviewers if they could just look at these extra bits (not the whole thing of course!) to see what they think? (Naturally, I'm continuing to exchange credits for reviews and doing free will reviews but I would really like to know what original reviewers think, especially as I'm not sure that I've gone from the sublime to the ridiculous!)

I'm particularly wanting to know the verdict as I am also still codging over whether to abandon my thought of writing an anthology of short stories and go for a novel. If I've 'mastered' adding the extra details right it will help to make up my mind!

My apologies if my question is offensive to anyone.

It could be useful to ask previous reviewers to see how you've progressed, that has advantages. I think however, as much as the pros and cons of new reviewers, or reviewers unknown to writers are discussed, that one of the advantages of the site is to get a diverse range of reviews from readers who are not familiar with your story. You could upload a new version so as to explore a range of feedback - 5 to 7 reviews - to compare opinion. At the end of your excerpt, there is no harm asking if reviewers could in part address the issues you are concerned about, though they are not obliged to do so.

Yes, thank you, will do.

It was just that quite a lot of people had the exact same comments and so I (hope) I've addressed these but am not sure, so it would also be useful to see if I've 'done' what they've suggested. If I have, I then may feel capable of writing a novel, if not, I'll stick to short stories!

I'll plough on..!
